The Sphere series has become 101 Copenhagen's signature design language and a defining body of work. The series brings together a variety of distinctive silhouettes and textures, presented in a decorative and sculptural way. Each vase is beautifully sculpted and carries fine, intricate decorative details. Inspired by ancient Chinese vases, the Sphere series is characterised by faded earth tones. The series was developed in close collaboration with experienced ceramicists, ensuring each piece achieves a perfect contrast between soft form and sharp edges.
The interior features a waterproof coating for displaying fresh flowers; the hand-applied glaze on the exterior gives the vase a distinctive matte texture, with each piece varying slightly in colour.
