Taking Japan's sport of sumo as a reference, the Sumo series celebrates the beauty of the torso, drawing inspiration from the traditional Japanese sport of sumo to create a pointed-foot base and a massive vase body.
Every vase has a different mouth design, from the traditional narrow vase opening to double openings and deeply carved pointed mouths.
This series focuses on the contrast between familiar vase shapes and the addition of more artistic, abstract ideas and details, refreshing our view of vase forms with greater attention to formal detail and abstract artwork vessels, going beyond our prior imagination of vase form.
As it is a hand-glazed natural product, the color may vary slightly, and the form is closer to that of ceramic ware.
It is therefore marked as not 100% waterproof. We recommend following waterproofing principles in use to maintain the product's color and quality; a waterproof bag for flowers is included for use.
