"Sapoto" means "support" in Japanese, and with this as its core, designer Kasper Friis Egelund pushes minimalist design to its limits. The collection ingeniously combines hand-polished sandblasted aluminium with coarsely textured dark marble, making the base not just a support but a stylish artistic centrepiece in its own right. The striking contrast between the glossy metal and the raw stone gives Sapoto an interactive tension that makes you want to touch and collect it.
