Yoruba Rose is the most elegant and feminine piece in Ingo Maurer's celebrated "The MaMo Nouchies" paper lamp series. The name carries an exotic romance, and its form resembles a giant paper rose slowly unfurling in the morning light, its perfect geometric curves revealing a warm, harmonious natural beauty.

This piece was developed jointly by Ingo Maurer and designer Dagmar Mombach. Most astonishing is its hand-crumpled paper craftsmanship: the paper passes through numerous intricate hand-stretching and folding processes, giving its surface a silk-like fine texture and excellent tension. When the light comes on, it passes through layer upon layer of washi paper, transformed into an exceptionally gentle, completely glare-free diffused glow that creates a serene and healing atmosphere indoors.
