The Jax middle element, 89 cm wide and armless, is the basic brick for lengthening a sofa. The seat is usable across its full width, and slotted between corners and ends, the number of middles determines the sofa’s final length. Jax’s rounded outline means even an in-between piece keeps a soft sculptural quality rather than becoming plain filler. Building a sofa for five or six people starts with adding more middles.
