Claes 中島椅的包覆用的是混色紗織成的布，同一片布裡有深淺不同的色線交錯，所以表面看起來有點斑駁、帶著復古的味道。座面與椅背都是柔軟的軟包，久坐不硬。
金屬骨架做了木紋處理，與布面之間形成清楚的材質對比——這個組合是懷舊語彙，但比例又是當代的。座高對應一般中島與吧檯，椅背高度剛好托到腰背，比純凳子舒服很多。
Claes is upholstered in a mélange yarn — light and dark threads woven together, so the surface reads slightly mottled and faintly retro. Soft padding on both seat and back. The metal frame carries a wood-look finish that contrasts clearly against the fabric: nostalgic language, contemporary proportions.
