Claes 中岛椅的包覆用的是混色纱织成的布，同一片布里有深浅不同的色线交错，所以表面看起来有点斑驳、带着复古的味道。座面与椅背都是柔软的软包，久坐不硬。
金属骨架做了木纹处理，与布面之间形成清楚的材质对比——这个组合是怀旧语汇，但比例又是当代的。座高对应一般中岛与吧台，椅背高度刚好托到腰背，比纯凳子舒服很多。
Claes is upholstered in a mélange yarn — light and dark threads woven together, so the surface reads slightly mottled and faintly retro. Soft padding on both seat and back. The metal frame carries a wood-look finish that contrasts clearly against the fabric: nostalgic language, contemporary proportions.
